As used in this policy, the terms “using” and “processing” information include using cookies on a computer, subjecting the information to statistical or other analysis and using or handling information in any way, including, but not limited to collecting, storing, evaluating, modifying, deleting, using, combining, disclosing and transferring information within our organization or among our affiliates.
What Information We Collect
The information we gather from customers enables us to personalize and improve our Services, and allows our users to set up a user account and profile that can be used to personalize their experience on the Site. We collect the following types of information from our customers:
Personally Identifiable and Other Information
When you register with us through the Site, we will ask you for personally identifiable information. This refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”). Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, credit card or other billing information, email address and home and business postal addresses. If you access and use the Site and/or Services through a mobile device, Maven Software may collect information regarding your GPS location and associated services from your mobile device.
We collect other information that you provide as part of registration and the administration and personalization of your account (e.g., without limitation, zip code (on its own) and individual preferences) (“Non-Identifying Information”).
We use your Personal Information (in some cases, in conjunction with your Non-Identifying Information) mainly to provide, improve and personalize the Services (including improving our algorithms), analytics purposes, and administer your account and use of the Services.
Certain Non-Identifying Information would be considered a part of your Personal Information if it were combined with other identifiers (for example, combining your zip code with your street address) in a way that enables you to be identified. But the same pieces of information are considered Non-Identifying Information when they are taken alone or combined only with other non-identifying information (for example, your viewing preferences). We may combine your Personal Information with Non-Identifying Information and aggregate it with information collected from other Grace Users (defined below) to attempt to provide you with a better experience, to improve the quality and value of the Services and to analyze and understand how our Site and Services are used.
You may need to provide us with access to your third party service providers (such as email account and CRM account). We use your Business Information mainly to provide, improve and personalize the Services (including improving our algorithms), analytics purposes, and administer your account and use of the Services.
We reserve a right to disclose the identity of our business customers and use their logos on our website and marketing materials.
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our Site or use our Services. Maven Software automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information, browser information, operating system, timestamps, the pages you request, and the actions and path you take on the Site.
Generally, our service automatically collects usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to our Site and how they use its various components. Maven Software only uses this data in aggregate form, that is, as a statistical measure, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us to figure out how customers use parts of the Site or Services so that we can make the Site appealing to as many customers as possible, and improve those Services. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our customers, collectively, use our Site or Services. We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how people use the Site or Services, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal online experience. Again, Maven Software never discloses aggregate information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally.
We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from Maven Software if your computer or device supports this type of functionality. Maven Software uses this confirmation to help us make emails more interesting and helpful and to improve the Website and our Services. We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers. When you receive email from Maven Software, you can opt out of receiving further emails by following the included instructions to unsubscribe.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Aggregate Non-Identifying Information. We may keep, use and share, publicly and with our partners, aggregated non-personally identifiable information derived from information provided by you and your authorized users and the Services, including but not limited to for the purpose of improving the Services. Any aggregated information shared in these contexts will not contain your Personal Information.
Third Party Service Providers. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Services, to provide the Services on our behalf, to perform Site-related services (e.g., without limitation, maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of the Site’s features) or to assist us in analyzing how our Site and Services are used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. Maven Software cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, any illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.
Third Party Data
You shall ensure that if you provide any data of third parties, any such third party has been informed of, and have given its consent to, the use, processing, and transfer of data in connection with the Services; including, without limitation, the automatic analysis and processing of emails and other data of your employees and consultants.
Phishing is the attempt to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money), often for malicious reasons, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Safeguarding information to help protect you from identity theft is a top priority. Maven Software does not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, your account ID, login password, or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited email or telephone communication. For more information about phishing, visit the Federal Trade Commission’s website.
Safeguarding your information is one of our top priorities. We employ administrative, physical and electronic measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. Among other preventative measures, we utilize Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input or is analyzed by the Services, and storing your information in encrypted form behind a firewall designed to block access from outside our network.
To learn more about the Security measure we take, please visit our Security page. We will make any legally required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your unencrypted electronically stored “personal data” (as defined under applicable law) to you via email or conspicuous posting on this Site in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, insofar as consistent with (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.
